Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Christmas Star

Star-light, star-bright, first star I see tonight...

With only 11 days  til Christmas, I thought we could all use a little bit of calm...

"Love knows not distance; it hath no continent; its eyes are for the stars . . ." - Gilbert Parker

Looking at these stars suddenly dwarfed my own troubles and all the gravities of terrestrial life. I thought of their unfathomable distance, and the slow inevitable drift of their movements out of the unknown past into the unknown future.                                                                           - H.G. Wells

"When you consider things like the stars, our affairs don't seem to matter very much, do they?"
 - Virginia Woolf

Those stars like some snow-white
Minerva's snow-white marble eyes
Without the gift of sight.
 - Robert Frost

Today's DIY Project: 3D Star

The night was clear and frosty, all ebony of shadow and silver of snowy slope; big stars were shining over the silent fields; here and there the dark pointed firs stood up with snow powdering their branches and the wind whistling through them                                            - Lucy Maud Montgomery

There is, though I do not know how there is or why there is, a sense of infinite peace and protection in the glittering hosts of heaven.
                                                                                                    H.G. Wells

Sparkle like a star today!
