Madly in Love!

No, I haven't been swept off my feet by some dashing stranger, just a beautiful kitchen that stole my heart!  From its hand-hewn weathered barn wood beams, to the steel framed window grille and antique iron pendant hung over that simple wood table with industrial steel legs we are talking perfection here dear readers!  Oh, and don't I just want to sit in those perfectly beautiful weathered gray chairs and gaze at those drop-dead gorgeous pale Parisian gray cabinets with chicken wire doors all day long.  I'd never grow tired of this look!

Yes, I'm thoroughly smitten!

Have a wonderful day all!!

xoxo,

Millie

Friday's Fab Rooms

via
Atlanta Interior Designer, Courtney Giles, really nailed this kitchen in my opinion.  Slightly grayed out white cabinets, marble counters, subway tiles, wood floors, and stainless appliances equals one great classic and timeless kitchen.

I hope you all have a terrific weekend.   We might actually have snow here in Massachusetts - ugh!  Snow doesn't exactly go well with spring fever... All this crazy weather is wreaking havoc on our plants, flowering shrubs and trees, and, of course, spring bulbs.  I babysat little Nola last night - pure utter joy!

xoxo,

Millie

And now, your daily dose of Nola!

Those cheeks are cuteness personified!!

I got to babysit Nola last night so her Mommy and Daddy could have a little date night!!  Heaven!

A Paler Shade of Rustic

Okay, so this is really the pantry to the great kitchen below, but I am loving the pale wooden shelves, weathered freestanding cabinets,  rustic limestone tile floors, and those gorgeous plaster walls done by Leslie of Segreto.  There is only one word for this room: Gorgeous!

Your Daily Dose of Nola -- she's growing like a weed!

Hungry for This?

Good morning lovely readers!  Hope you are having a great day so far!  I have a not-so-very busy day today with Nola and her mommy.  The forecast is for an incredible 67 degrees (F)!  Wow!  So, we plan on taking Nola for her first stroller ride.  Hopefully at our favorite park in Hingham along the water, if it isn't too windy out, and enjoy the breath of spring air while it lasts!

I found this fab kitchen on Tracery Interiors website and had to share it.  The Bertazzoni stove is spectacular on its own, but then that amazing fabricated steel hood is like the icing on a wedding cake -  sweet and delicious perfection!  Then, as if that's not enough they added that amazing skylight roof to flood the kitchen island with natural light so you can bake cookies or just sip coffee all day long basking in the sunshine.   Still, the Tracery Interiors team wasn't done yet.  Why not toss in antique bricks laid in a herringbone pattern to line the walls behind the stove and underneath it all? Antique terra cotta tiles bring the visual warmth down to the floor.  Stop it already!  I'm turning green with envy!  But, there's still more, a surprise for you dear reader, so scroll on down.

Ta-da!  Isn't this the most amazing room to store dishes in?

Now that's a great Butler's Pantry!

A functional pantry and back door...

Naturally, a splendid kitchen deserves an equally splendid family room.

WOW!

Have a fabulous day today!!

xoxo,

Millie

In Turquoise

What could possibly be better than kitchen cabinets glazed in turquoise and cream?

A breakfast room to match, natch!

Love how they wrapped the  soft colors of the limestone walls and tile floors with the pops of turquoise.  It's like being in a cave or a cocoon of limestone! Those ivory Biedermeier chairs are so perfectly pretty; proudly wearing their turquoise cushions and topped by the crowning touch: a turquoise beaded chandelier.

Have a terrific Thursday!!

Bunny Williams sings the blues with this big, bold, and beautiful Texas kitchen!

The tile covered island is absolutely stunning!

Hello cozy comfort! This would definitely be my fave seat!

I'm drooling over this wall of Chinese blue and white porcelain!

Life is super busy right now!  Too much going on and not enough time to do it all!!

Have a wonderful day!

A Kitchen So Good it's Fridaylicious!

Beachrose Ramblings'
Friday-licious Kitchen of the Week!

houzz.com

Oh yeah, it's a Friday-licious kitchen for sure!  We are digging those gray and white checkerboard floors here at Beachrose Ramblings.  Those floors contrast perfectly with all that aged and rustic wood everywhere -- on the overhead beams, on the wall shelves, and can I please just touch the patina on those distressed stools and tabletop?   All of this is set against a marvelous creamy white background of painted cabinets, subway tiles, and walls.

Oh, and don't get me started on that fireplace.  It is, well, oh-so-perfect for cooking yummy wood-fired pizzas, or just plain old gazing at it, enjoying its' cozy warmth on a cold snowy night!   I'm craving that stucco finish on it too.

Of course, that perfectly cute little pooch-er-poodle tugging at this dog lover's heart had me at hello!

 Have a lovely weekend!

xoxo

Despite the snow, the baby shower was lots of fun!

Okay, so these flowers weren't on top of the cake at the shower, but full disclosure -- we saved the cake for Nola's first birthday and put it in a Glad container.  Someone put something on top of the container and now the top of the cake displays the Glad logo!!  Blind as I am I couldn't see the wire on these flowers until I put the photo up here! Oh well, c'est la vie!

My first experience with fondant -- love it!
