Cozy White Kitchens Warmed with Wood
Happy Friday to all! It's been a busy week here at Beachrose Ramblings - juggling a number of projects at once is a bit crazy! But, I absolutely love it! So, like you, I'm looking forward to some rest and relaxation this weekend! Getting back in the swing of things after the holidays is always a bit rough isn't it? I have to confess that I am obsessed with kitchens -- the more deconstructed of course, the better, in my view, and I'm especially smitten with white kitchens. However, white kitchens can be sterile, cold, and austere places. And, who wants to hang out in an unwelcoming space? So today, I wanted to share some beautiful white kitchens with you. Each is warmed by the use of warm wood tones either used alone or in combination on the ceilings, beams, islands, floors, and/or cabinets to create charming cozy spaces in the very heart of the home. Be sure to check out the birch log table legs in the photo below!! Wow! I'm in total love!

Pecky Cyprus makes the best driftwood-y looking cabinets especially with a pickled gray finish! I also love the bit of various shades of green as an accent - so terrific in a kitchen!
The kitchen below, mixes a number of different woods -- from the beams to the different finishes on upper and lower distressed cabinets and the island, as well as the wall of weathered grey cabinetry.
Craving a simple and serene yet warm kitchen? The little bit of wood over the range and on the floor does the trick perfectly -- balancing out those pretty, but cool, white marble counters!
Wood countertops are a simply gorgeous way to warm up a white kitchen!
Or, just use a gorgeous wood with patina on the floor...

No wood in your kitchen? Hang copper pans to warm up the space and add some cozy charm!
Have a fun weekend!

Wonderful White Kitchens
Thought I'd share a few kitchens with you this beautiful Friday morning. Whether they are traditional, contemporary, farmhouse, rustic, or suburban chic, all of them have one thing in common: white cabinets. Any shade of white is my favorite cabinet color for a timeless kitchen. Enjoy!

Kitchen Love Fest!
I am in the midst of a kitchen love fest at the moment! I discovered these pretties and just had to share them. A bit of advance warning my sweets, you may want to tear out all your cabinets and start anew; or should I say, with the old! Drool on and feel the magic of falling in kitchen love!

It must be love! The colors, textures, and light in this room make me swoon! I could gaze at he lovely finish on the hutch all day! It is to die for! And I am hypnotized by the latch on the door. The casual way the window on the door is dressed with a linen tea towel curtain is too clever! The entire room is perfect! |

Okay, so I love this little British beauty posing as Provence just as much as the photo above! I think I'll take off my cabinet doors and replace them with linen grain sack curtains as seen here! The blue enamel coffee pots over the stove are just the right touch of color in this sweet little space, don't you think?. From the beams right down to the stone floors it is rustic simplicity with panache. |

This is not your ordinary kitchen, yet it has most of the cabinet space we expect in the U.S. The island is oh so clever and I adore its limed finish and distressing. Those pretty little pendants are like jewelry against the chalky painted cabinetry! And check out the cutest little blackboard ever under the scalloped valance. These amazing photos are from a wonderful blog, The Paper Mulberry. |
More Scandinavian examples since can you ever get enough of the color, white especially if it's paired with grey?
