Okay so you can't buy a house for that price anymore!  But these are examples of the Craftsmen style that dominated architecture from around 1900 to the early 1930s. It has been experiencing quite a revival across the country for the last few years.  I think you can see why!

Pretty pantries are my weakness....
The shades of craftsmen style

I think craftsmen style is still adored because it harkens back to a different era.  A time that rejected the impersonal design of industrial factories with their  mass- produced  assembly lines in favor of  the handmade individual work of the artisan.  We still do.  It is the human touch and creativity we revere as seen by the economic success of online shops like etsy.   And so it is, that many of us turn to the past to instill character,  charm, and warmth into our homes. We still yearn for a simple life.

Have a pleasant day!
xoxo,
Millie
