Merry Old England

You may not know this about me, but I'm addicted to the BBC World News.  Call it a remnant of my Social Studies teaching days and a throw back to my grad school obsession with journalism.  (Yeah, I wanted to be a foreign correspondent, covering wars and all that stuff.  The reality of course is that it was all a bit too dangerous for a single mommy of two precious little girls.)  So, back to school I went - this time behind the desk. Met my hubbie and well, let's put it this way: the closest I get to anything foreign these days is on a menu or subtitles on a film!  Anyway...this morning the BBC broadcast live from their new Olympic headquarters and the coverage was all Olympics.  While London 2012 may be calling athletes from around the world.  I prefer the charming gardens of the English countryside...

 Why do I love England??

Magical gardens everywhere...

British charm is abundant in villages and shires everywhere

Who knew Queen Anne's Lace could look so magical when massed?
And to think I've been yanking it out!

I think English gardens are perfectly perfect!  What do you think?

Daily Dose of Nola
 aka Cutie Petutie!

I think she looks like a little Gerber baby -
well.. except for sticking her tongue out at everyone she sees.
Fresh baby!

Have a magical day!
