Happy, happy Friday! It's been another busy week between Nola's nursery, the baby shower for my daughter, Aimee, and I'm also designing a pre-school from scratch for my bestie, Carol-anne, whose thriving business has outgrown her charming home. Last night we met with the contractor and it was so exciting to walk through the old barn that will be transformed into an amazing space for the lucky kids at Lil Bean Preschool.

Choosing just the right shade of lavender.
Mike rolls on the first coat!!
Aimee and I love it!! Now, the question is do we stencil the crib wall, paint fat stripes on it, or (oh, please, please) do a chevron design? And the winner is...(drumroll, please)
CHEVRON!
Aimee razor cutting the tape for the chevron wall
The chevrons are painted and the tape is coming off. Voila!
Mike removing the last bit of painter's tape
The classic Jenny Lind crib (get it at Target) is put together. Okay, now who hid the mattress?! :D
Since Aimee is a super petite gal, the changing table needs to be low to fit her pint-sized frame. This old dresser was headed for the rubbish when Aimee nabbed it. (Like mother, like daughter!)
I've been dying to do a mid-century piece in ombre since I saw this one on Pinterest.

Simply beautiful!
The second coat drying...
Now where did we put those cool knobs?
Crib mattress...FOUND!
So we still have a lot to do, but it's beginning to look like a nursery. I'm crocheting (WHAT? guess I'm getting into this granny thing -- even if I'm way to young for it!! haha - yeah, right!) an ombre afghan of Celtic roses for the crib -- hopefully it will look great!
What do you think of Nola's nursery? I'd love some feedback! Well, I've got to run to give the contractor the floor plan for the preschool and we still have to find those knobs!!
Have a great week-end all!
xoxo,
Millie
