Fresh and Fabulous: A Neutral Farmhouse Christmas!

Isn't this front entry decked out in evergreens magical in its natural beauty and simplicity?

Looking to add some candle light?  Here's a DIY project so easy the kids can do it!  Wrap mason jars (or pasta sauce jars, pickle jars, etc)  in your grandma's crocheted doilies tie with twine and garnish with greens, a cinnamon stick or two, and sleigh bells.  If you want, wrap the lid with wire and bend to make a handle.  Arrange in groups of 3 -5. Light. So easy and sweet!

Group white amaryllis and paper white narcissus in a sunny spot.  Any spot really. On a table, the mantel, a kitchen counter, in your Christmas tree...  You really can 't go wrong!!

Create little vignettes everywhere to tell a Christmas story...

Try using all natural materials to decorate your tree. Nothing artificial -- really!  Adorn with strings of popcorn, cranberries, hang apples, and dried oranges... not only will your guest rave over it, but the birds will love the treats long after the holidays are gone if you drape those goodies on a tree or two in the backyard after !

Or you could use raffia and burlap on your Christmas tree and make burlap stockings. Wrap gifts in brown paper packages tied up with fabric strips, jute, or even kitchen string. Or, reuse newspapers or even old sheet music.  Decorate with paper snowflakes.

And a beautiful ruffled tree skirt under it all!

Don't you just love the starfish on that tree?

And beautiful stockings made from old sweaters to adorn the foot of the bed...

Hope you enjoyed the Farmhouse decor.  Tomorrow, we will look at decorating with red for Christmas.  I'm off for a day of DIY'ing with the Style Me Pretty team -- Should be so fun!

Have a wonderful day!

xoxo,

Millie
